Marvel Universe Live
Marvel Universe Live is a touring stunt show produced by Feld Entertainment, based out of Palmetto, FL. The second iteration of the show (2017-2020) traveled with 23 trucks of gear domestically, and 33 internationally, and had massive set pieces, performer flying and stunts, a huge lighting package, full stage projection mapping, pyrotechnic effects and live fire acts, and a top of the line audio system. The traveling crew was nearly 50 people, and everyone had their specific jobs. The Automation department was responsible for operation, installation, maintenance, and inspection of all controllable axes that moved people or scenery. This package consisted of five spot hoists at various places throughout the stage, three mechanically compensated fly tracks, on the left, center, and right sides of the stage, two large platforms that weighed over one ton each that traveled up and down the tower legs center stage, and a large garage door that opened up a center walkway into backstage. Throughout the whole show, there were over 50 aerial flights or stunts executed every show, with Automation working in tandem with the Performance Rigging department to safely handle the needs of all of them.
